Job Role: Fire Project Manager
Start Date: 17/05/2021
Duration: 4 Months
Working Hours: 8am-4:30pm
RATE: £280 p/d
Main Duties include:
1) Project Management of Fire Detection and Fire Extinguishing System Installations - Liaising with client, directors, engineers and sub-contractors, ensuring that all materials and plant are on site when required.
Dealing with RAMS and any other onsite H&S requirements. Ensure that all work has been carried out to a good standard. Ensure project program is met, and that works are being completed efficiently and to budget.
Ensure that any client or third party related delays which could incur requirements for additional cost or time on project are properly documented.
2)) Management and quality assurance of sub-contracted engineers Liaising with our contracted (and internal) engineers, carrying out random checks on the quality of work, onsite H&S reviews etc. Would envisage they would be looking after around 10-15 engineers on the site.
3) Project Management / Cost Control Managing procurement, materials onsite, and overall budget management on Project. Responsible for project claims and ensuring contractual obligations for reporting and payments are met.
Management of variations to the works. Project value up to £1.2 Million.
4) Project Documentation & Handover Completion of O&M Manual on handover of project, managing client handover/training, dealing with snagging/warranty/defect reports if required
5) Design of fire detection and fire extinguishing systems Designing systems from plans and site visits, and assisting in preparation of costings for quotations. This does not apply to this project, but there are other projects in the pipeline which may come to fruition which could extend the term.
