Role: Fire Design Engineer
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Car
Location: Midlands & South - Should live within 2 hours of London as there will be a weekly requirement to attend site

My client is a multinational security services company with a well-established integrated fire & security solutions division who design, install and maintain Fire, Life Safety & Security for customers across the UK.

They are recruiting for a Fire Systems Design Engineer to design and produce quotations, technical submittals, drawings, proposals & specifications for the supply, installation, commissioning & maintenance of Fire & Life Safety systems for M&E and end users across the UK.

Responsibilities:
Design responsibility and the production of Fire System designs & quotations
Taking design responsibility and ensuring that the designs produced achieve the objectives required by the customer and the specification
Issuing FIA design certificates upon completion of a project
Managing a number of designs at any one time and prioritising according to sales need
Ensuring that all designs & proposals produced are accurately costed
Ensuring all output is produced in line with agreed timescales and delivered to the agreed deadline

Requirements:
In depth knowledge and experience working with Fire Alarm systems and associated regulatory standards in a design role
Experience in a similar role liaising with End Users & or M&E Contractors.
FIA qualifications and excellent knowledge of regs and standards
Experience designing Gas Suppression systems is a bonus but not essential
CAD qualifications are a bonus, but not essential
