Salary: £35,000\£40,000 + Benefits
Location: Home Based role with regular visits to Southend-On-Sea

Job Purpose:
The successful candidate must have a pragmatic approach to the Design & Planning Projects across the business portfolios and will also be required to provide planning support across several different project if required, advice and information where necessary for the Installation and Commissioning, Civils & Cabling Operations. To establish effective and efficient processes to ensure the most effective solution.

Key Accountability:
*Undertake complete end-end designs of Civil (Underground) or Aerial Infrastructure for GPON FTTH Deployments
*Compile detailed and accurate survey requests to local Field engineers for completion in a timely manner.
*Compile fibre splice and GPON schematics for Implementation
*Compile customer site planning documentation / Survey reports
*Provide support to Implementation with issues experienced within the field
*Always adhere to ITL / Client planning standards
*Provide technical and quality checking for the on local in-house designs and external agents
*Liaise with Suppliers and Implementation engineers in order to ensure any changes are verified and processed from the planning team
*Support sales teams with regards estimated planning costs to provide opportunity costing.
*Ensure all data migrated or planned into the GIS system has a high degree of accuracy. Liaise with in-house GIS Leaders to ensure mapping forecasts are in time to compliment planning requirements
*Report on SLA's and houses past statistics for all planning works deployments
*Provide cost analytics against "Build cost and "Planned Build cost"
*Undertake necessary individual reporting for responsible projects and Network builds into management on a weekly and monthly basis.

*Good understanding and knowledge of QGIS, used within a Network Planning environment or similar software tools
*Excellent knowledge of fibre optic design principles for both Aerial and Underground deployments
*Knowledge of Fibre optic testing procedures, understanding the key elements of testing issues and the ability to interpret OTDR and ILM traces.
*Understanding of ITU-G.984.1 GPON standards
*Experience of GPON design and deployment
*Have a good understanding of PIA Designing / Surveys
*Ability to be able to cost accurately elements of a design to produce comprehensive B.O.M reports
*Understanding of FTTX, FTTH principles within the UK
*Working with multiple Implementation engineers and specialist contractors for network builds
*Ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure
*Excellent Organisational and reporting skills
*Good communication and numeracy skills
*An eye for detail is a must
