Salary: Up to £45,000 + Car Allowance + Company Benefits (22 days + bank, Bonus, Private Health Car, etc)
This is a fantastic opportunity for Design and Development Engineer to work in a pioneering business supplying innovative crime prevention and risk management solutions. You will be leading the design and development of new products to meet specific project needs whilst also developing innovative products which can be offered straight to consumers/customers "off the shelf".
Reporting to the Director of Services and supporting the commercial team, the successful candidate will lead the product development lifecycle to support the UK and international demands. They must be aware of technical developments to aid continual development, understand supply chain risks and managing outsourced manufacture.
*Lead the product design and development, producing detailed specifications.
*Manage the design process of PCB's to support ongoing product development.
*Design of digital communication systems, including international, to support remote monitoring services.
*Managing the construction and testing of prototypes.
*Produce CAD documentation including site schematics and wiring diagrams
*Responsible for the preparation of drawings and Bill of Materials.
*Involvement in Software Development both with third party suppliers as well as within the Company.
*Manage third party suppliers, including manufacturing, ensuring quality and supply KPI's are fulfilled.
*Ongoing, controlled continual development to improve service, quality, and control costs.
*Delivery of technical documentation installation and operator manuals, specifications.
*Delivering ongoing support to UK and International clients.
Desirable Skills include:
*Knowledge of intruder detection systems, CCTV, gas suppression or the electornic security market.
*MSc in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, technology, or Industrial Engineering - (Desirable)
*Experience in managing product lifecycle , end to end process, product realisation managing manufacture processes and supplies.
*An understanding of software development and/or hands on skills
*Good I.T skills including training and presentation skills.
