Due to rapid expansion, my client - a consultancy based north of London in Hertfordshire - is looking for an AV Systems Designer on a permanent basis.
This role is a great opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge in an innovative and exciting organisation with career progression.

Role Responsibilities:
To assist the Sales Department take a technical brief for a project from the Client when required
To assist the Sales Department in specifying equipment for a project and to assist in the costing of installation accessories and labour
Project co-ordination with customers, contractors and sub-contractors
Conducting site surveys and production of written site survey notes, photographs and drawings
Production of sketch type systems diagrams, connection spread sheets etc to aid system understanding, working with the CAD team for production of full working drawings
Monitor, record and report project budget vs project actuals in a timely manner to senior management
Undertake or supervise system pre-build works at company premises to the required standards
Coordinate with the PMO booking of team accommodation, travel arrangements, hire vehicles etc required for project related site work
Schedule, oversee and undertake on-site installations of systems in conjunction with the Installation Team
Oversee the setup, commission and test systems to meet the required standards
Identify project variations, including associated labour, and communicate to internal sales team or account manager as appropriate so that these can be costed
Provide technical support for all systems installed, from advice to repairs and modifications
To provide technical information and support for Sales, Installation and Design staff

Essential Skills:
Professional AV and/or Broadcast Television and/or Theatre systems engineering knowledge
Understanding of IT Networking in relation to AV/Broadcast/Theatre
Strong communication skills - a proven ability to deal politely and efficiently with customers both on the telephone and face-to-face
Experience of managing a team and being a team player
Experience in software set up of control panels, routing systems, DSPs, graphics processors etc
An ability to work under pressure
Current and clean Driving License

Desirable Skills:
Infocomm CTS Certification
Infocomm CTS-D or CTS-I and Prince2 Project Management certification would be advantageous
