Apprentice AV Engineer
Location: Office is based in East Molesey but field work will be in Surrey, London and the South East
Salary: £12,000 (Negotiable) + Benefits

Working Week: Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated new member of the team with a hunger to develop their practical and technical knowledge of smart home technology. Applications are invited for a varied and hands-on position within a growing business that prides itself on quality and attention to detail.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Loading and unloading the installation van
*Assisting in connecting and installation AV equipment
*Assisting in the AV rack building process
*Organising tooling and keeping areas clean and tidy
*Experience with power tools (drills, multi-cutters etc.) is beneficial but not essential
*Previous experience with installing audio-visual and home cinema equipment preferred but not essential
*When not on site you will be expected to assist with workshop based tasks (rack building, workshop organisation)
*Our on-site installer has excellent skills and will provide training on all aspects of AV installation inc:
oInstalling TVs, speakers, amplifiers, racking etc.
oHow to run and manage AV cabling correctly
oHow to terminate & connect AV cabling correctly
oYou will be trained to programme high level automated smart home systems

Future prospects:
The opportunity to continue with the company after completion of the apprenticeship. This will mean an increased salary, paid holiday and various other benefits.
The scope to specialise in specific areas of smart home technology (for example home cinema design, lighting / heating integration) and attend training courses funded by the company

Desirable skills:
*Full UK driving license
*Experience with power tools & practical installation
*Knowledge of computer networking welcome
*Knowledge of CAD, SketchUp, InDesign, Composer and Excel

Qualifications required:
*No qualification is required
*5 GCSE A-C including English & Maths is an advantage
