Main Purpose of Job
To supply technical assistance to the customer base. To plan and deploy various technologies on customers premises and support to other lines within the business. A team focus is essential.
*Responsible to: Customer Service Manager & Technical Director.
*Responsible for: Self, Customers, Trainees & Apprentices.
*Liaison with: All Internal Business Areas, Third Party Vendors\Partners and Customers.
Two or more years working in a role responsible for delivery and implementation of telecommunications solutions and supporting communications infrastructures. Working directly for a telecommunications provider previously would also be beneficial.
The applicant must be proficient and have proven track record implementing and supporting the following:
*Analogue & ISDN
*Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
*Quality of Service (QoS)
*Network Routing Protocols, Inc. OSPF & BGP
*VLAN and LAN Switching Environments
*WAN & Internet Technologies
*Good numeracy, Literacy and Communication Skills
*Administering, deploying and troubleshooting Mitel phone systems.
*Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA, current)
*A working knowledge of virtual infrastructure, e.g. VMWare or HyperV
*Experienced in Deploying & Supporting Firewall Technologies, for example Cisco ASA, SonicWALL Appliances.
