Role: Technical Sales Manager
Location: Leeds
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
Technical Resources are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join a dynamic team in Leeds. In this role, you will combine your technical expertise with commercial acumen to drive revenue and profit for the business. Your responsibilities will include building strong relationships with key customers and suppliers, as well as working with other managers to formulate and implement strategic sales plans.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales and profit by combining technical expertise with commercial strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers
- Work with other managers to formulate and implement strategic sales plans
- Take ownership of complex technical quoting, risk management, and mitigation strategies
- Make daily commercial decisions and be accountable for managing and meeting sales targets
- Provide support, solutions, and expert technical advice based on an in-depth knowledge of the product catalogue
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven experience as a Technical Sales Manager or in a similar role within a related industry
- Strategic thinker with the ability to make considered and effective decisions
- Strong experience in managing customer accounts and consistently achieving commercial targets
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Technical expert with a deep understanding of the product catalogue
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with individuals from various departments and companies
- Organised with excellent time management skills
- Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen to make informed decisions
- Technical certifications or a degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience in a related field)
- Proven ability to communicate strategies and decisions effectively to perform optimally
