Role: Structured Cabling Project Manager
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum + Car or Allowance
Technical Resources are recruiting for a Structured Cabling Project Manager based in Sheffield. This role is a fantastic opportunity to lead high-value installations from bid to handover, ensuring operational, commercial, and technical excellence throughout. You’ll be managing project delivery teams, engaging with senior stakeholders, and contributing to business-wide planning and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee full lifecycle delivery of structured cabling projects – from bid, pre-start, through to completion
- Lead project teams, maximising performance and delivery across technical, commercial and safety functions
- Maintain high Health & Safety standards and ensure compliance with all procedures
- Ensure installation quality meets internal and client specifications
- Input into business plans, budgets, and monthly project reviews
- Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and repeat business
- Participate in bid activity and support business development initiatives
- Monitor project progress, managing risks and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven experience in structured cabling project management
- SMSTS or equivalent
- UKATA (CAT A) Asbestos Awareness
- Project management qualification (CTPM, APM or Prince 2 preferred)
- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with project management software and reporting tools
- Customer-focused with a proactive and analytical mindset
