Role: Sprinkler Engineer
Location: South Wales (working nationally)
Salary:
£32,000 - £38,000 per annum
We are seeking a Sprinkler Engineer in South Wales working nationally. You will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and commissioning of plumbing and fire sprinkler systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will ensure all works are completed to high standards, fully compliant with UK regulations and relevant fire protection standards.
Responsibilities:
- Install domestic and commercial plumbing systems, including hot and cold water, drainage, and sanitary ware
- Install, maintain, and commission fire sprinkler systems to BS EN 12845, BS 9251, and other relevant standards
- Carry out servicing, testing, pressure testing, flushing, and certification of sprinkler systems
- Diagnose and repair faults to ensure systems remain fully operational
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Liaise with supervisors, contractors, and other trades to coordinate works effectively
- Ensure compliance with on-site health and safety procedures, including RAMS
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition
- Troubleshoot and rectify faults during and after installation
Experience and Certifications Required:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in plumbing and sprinkler installations
- Minimum 3 years’ experience installing and maintaining sprinkler systems
- Valid CSCS card
- Knowledge of UK plumbing regulations and fire protection standards
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- IPAF or PASMA certification – desirable
