Role: Sprinklers Design Engineer
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £30,000 - £70,000 per annum
Technical Resources are recruiting for a Sprinklers Design Engineer to prepare detailed sprinkler system designs in line with LPC, BS EN 12845, and other relevant industry standards. This role offers the chance to work with industry-leading software and collaborate closely with project managers, installation teams, and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sprinkler system layouts, hydraulic calculations, and drawings using CAD and hydraulic calculation software (AutoSPRINK, Revit, FHC)
- Ensure all designs meet LPC, BS EN 12845, and applicable standards
- Collaborate with project managers, installers, consultants, and clients to achieve project objectives
- Participate in design and value engineering meetings
- Revise designs based on client feedback or site conditions
- Support site activities and commissioning as required
- Keep up to date with technological advances and industry best practice
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and project records
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven experience in sprinkler system design (or related fire protection design role)
- Proficiency with CAD and hydraulic calculation software (AutoSPRINK, Revit, or FHC)
- Knowledge of LPC, BS EN 12845, and other relevant standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
- Willingness to visit sites when required
