 : Sprinkler Design Engineer

 £60,000 - £60,000 per annum 
We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer to join our team in Belfast. This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work on a variety of projects while collaborating with clients, partners, and subcontractors. You will be responsible for producing accurate and compliant system designs to the highest professional standards.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare sprinkler system designs for a range of projects, including large-scale installations and small works.
- Ensure compliance with LPC Rules, NFPA, and FM standards.
- Produce complete technical documentation, drawings, and coordination models.
- Perform detailed hydraulic calculations and maintain design responsibility throughout the project lifecycle.
- Carry out on-site surveys as required.
- Select and specify equipment in line with design requirements.
- Prepare certification and O&M documentation.
- Attend client meetings to provide design updates and technical input.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, design teams, and suppliers (including quarterly pricing reviews).
- Provide weekly project progress reports to senior management.
Experience and Certifications Required:
-  Minimum LPCB Basic Design qualification (essential). 
-  Strong knowledge of LPC sprinkler rules (essential). 
-  Additional knowledge of FM and NFPA standards (advantageous). 
-  LPCB Intermediate and FHC design qualifications (advantageous). 
-  At least 3 years’ experience in fire sprinkler system design. 
-  Experience with water mist, hydrant, and dry/wet riser systems (advantageous). 
-  Strong technical design skills with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Canute FHC design software. 
-  Excellent communication and coordination skills.
