Are you an experienced Service and Small Works Manager within the fire industry? As a Service and Small Works Manager, you will oversee the safe and compliant delivery of service and small works projects up to £100,000 across fire suppression and detection systems. You will be working for an established fire protection specialist, reporting directly to the Operations Director and leading the scheduling function.
Responsibilities :
● Manage service and small works projects
● Ensure delivery meets contractual, technical, regulatory, safety and quality standards
● Coordinate labour, materials and scheduling while monitoring progress and mitigating risk
● Control costs, manage variations and maintain strong financial performance
● Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and fire standards
● Lead and develop the scheduling team, including performance management and training
● Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and deliver high levels of customer service
Experience and Certifications Required:
● A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing service and small works projects within the fire industry
● Strong knowledge of British Standards, Codes of Practice, BAFE SP203-1/3 and LPS 1014/1204
● Proven track record in cost control and financial management
● Experience supervising or line-managing small teams
● ILM Level 5–7 (desirable)
● CEng status (or working towards) desirable
● IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS (desirable)
● CSCS card
● Full UK driving licence
