Are you a Senior Project Manager based in London, experienced in delivering large-scale smart building projects? You’ll be working for a forward-thinking technology and engineering organisation delivering complex, integrated building solutions across the UK. This is a senior leadership role suited to someone who thrives in complex delivery environments, enjoys mentoring Project Managers, and brings strong commercial, technical, and operational expertise to every project.
Responsibilities :
- Provide strategic operational input during tender and bid stages for high-value, multi-technology projects
- Review and approve bid documentation, ensuring feasibility, cost validation, and resource planning
- Collaborate with commercial, design, and operational teams to confirm delivery programmes
- Represent the delivery team in client meetings, presentations, and bid interviews
- Provide senior leadership and accountability across multi-project delivery
- Line-manage and support Project Managers, ensuring time, quality, and budget targets are met
- Ensure effective resource allocation across concurrent projects, supported by PMO and Operations
- Lead quality assurance, site inspections, and proactive risk management
- Utilise project management platforms (e.g. Monday.com) for live reporting and project tracking
- Oversee commissioning, testing, and compliance activities
- Ensure smooth transition from delivery into long-term support and maintenance teams
- Take full ownership of handover documentation, including O&Ms, warranties, training, and reports
- Manage post-handover activities, including snagging, stakeholder engagement, and lessons learned
- Own project budgets, forecasting, profitability, and financial performance
- Manage valuations, invoicing, commercial negotiations, and change control
- Deliver monthly financial and progress reviews with clear risk and impact reporting
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven experience delivering £5m+ smart building or multi-technology projects
- Strong background across ICT cabling, security, networking, AV, BMS, IoT, or MSI services
- Demonstrable commercial and financial management experience
- Experience leading and mentoring Project Managers
- Strong understanding of commissioning, compliance, and structured handover processes
- Ability to operate at a senior stakeholder and client-facing level
