Role: Senior Project Manager
Location: London
Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum
Technical Resources are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager in London to lead complex programmes across ICT cabling, security, networking, AV, BMS, IoT systems, and MSI services. This is a pivotal leadership role offering full accountability for project success, client satisfaction, and team development. Supported by a PMO for governance and reporting, you will combine strategic oversight with hands-on project leadership, leveraging modern tools such as Monday.com for project tracking and digital commissioning platforms (e.g., Exchange IQ) to drive efficiency and data-driven insights.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic input during tender and bid processes for high-value, multi-technology projects
- Review and approve bid documentation, feasibility, and cost validation
- Collaborate with commercial, design, and operations teams to confirm delivery approaches
- Represent delivery at client meetings, presentations, and bid interviews
- Lead and mentor Project Managers, ensuring delivery on time, budget, and quality
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation
- Drive quality assurance, site inspections, and risk management
- Manage commissioning, testing, and compliance in line with contractual requirements
- Oversee valuations, invoicing, and commercial negotiations
- Deliver accurate project forecasts, budget tracking, and profitability reviews
- Provide regular progress, financial, and client updates at steering sessions
- Ensure seamless transition into long-term support/maintenance teams, integrating data-driven insights
- Deliver O&M manuals, warranties, reports, and training at project handover
- Lead lessons learned and post-handover snag resolution
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven experience managing multi-technology projects (£5m+ value) in smart buildings (ICT, security, BMS, AV, IoT, MSI)
- Strong technical and operational understanding of smart building systems
- Demonstrable leadership experience managing teams of Project Managers
- Financial and commercial acumen with experience in valuations, forecasting, and contract negotiations
- Skilled in using project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com) and digital commissioning tools (e.g., Exchange IQ)
- Strong client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure across complex, multi-site programmes
