Role: Senior Fire Fault & Commissioning Engineer

Location: London & Home Counties

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + All Travel Paid

Technical Resources are seeking a Senior Fire Fault & Commissioning Engineer to join a team in London & Home Counties. This role is focused on servicing, commissioning, and fault-finding various fire alarm systems, as well as providing leadership and technical support to the engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation
  • Work on a range of systems from 20-device standalone systems to 500+ device networked systems
  • Fault-find and diagnose issues across various fire alarm systems
  • Set up and configure systems using software on multiple panel types
  • Perform cause and effect programming across a wide variety of panels
  • Provide onsite training and development to engineering team members
  • Work with the engineering manager on training plans for the department
  • Offer technical support to the engineering team and the wider business
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Provide onsite support, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering high-quality customer service
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures and standards
  • Conduct audits of engineering work to ensure compliance with standards
  • Perform corrective actions on non-conforming works
  • Gent, Advanced, Ziton, Morley, Kentec systems
  • Experience with air sampling, suppression, and smoke ventilation systems is desirable

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in fire alarm commissioning and fault finding
  • Advanced knowledge of fire alarm systems, including configuration and cause and effect programming
  • Experience with core alarm systems and their software
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Ability to provide technical support and resolve high-level technical issues
  • Ability to provide training to engineering teams
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A clean driving licence and willingness to travel within London and surrounding areas
