Technical Resources are looking to recruit a Security Systems Project Manager to work for an industry-leading, global security systems integrator, who design and install enterprise-level security systems for a global client base. The Security Systems Project Manager is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and management of engineering, installation, and subcontracting activities across multiple security system projects. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining strong client relationships and supporting the professional image of the company. The role will involve travelling across EMEA depending on projects.
Responsibilities :
Project Planning & Execution
- Plan and schedule engineering, installation, and subcontracting for all assigned projects.
- Maintain up-to-date job plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project design.
- Prepare project estimates and proposals.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and services, ensuring timely delivery to site.
- Develop and manage project installation plans and procedures.
- Maintain construction schedules and coordinate with other trades.
- Monitor subcontractor performance.
- Routinely walk job sites to ensure quality installation and compliance.
Project Management & Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive records of job status, changes, material flow, and other control documents.
- Prepare internal and external reports on project progress.
- Implement quality assurance programs to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customer decision makers.
Financial & Resource Management
- Provide weekly updates on labour and material resource requirements.
- Assist management in weekly and monthly forecasting.
- Ensure timecards are accurately completed with job numbers.
- Review financial statements and management tools for effective job management and cost control.
- Supervise the preparation of data required for ongoing billing.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to resolve project issues and ensure profitability.
Job Closure
- Complete record drawings and all project documentation.
- Ensure all paperwork is finalized, purchase orders are closed, and Notices of Completion are submitted.
- Oversee the transition of completed projects to service teams.
- Ensure projects are 100% billed and close-out reports are completed.
Commissioning & Handover
- Populate projection and commissioning sheets, mark-up drawings, and coordinate with Program Managers for system commissioning.
- Manage onsite changes to physical installations to meet standards.
- Make sure to complete all commissioning and handover documentation.
- Follow projects through to final adjustments, commissioning, and sign-off.
- Train on-site clients in the use of installed systems.
- Provide technical support to clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in security project management.
- Strong understanding of security systems installation and commissioning.
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required by projects and clients.
