Role: Security Manager
Location: Surrey
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum + Van + Commission
Technical Resources are recruiting for a Security Manager to take ownership of a growing fire and security division in Surrey. This hybrid role combines client engagement, technical delivery, and team management, offering the chance to build and lead a high-performing department from the front.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and assess client requirements for fire and security systems
- Prepare and present competitive, accurate proposals and quotations
- Schedule and oversee installation works across fire, CCTV, access, and intruder systems
- Order and manage stock for ongoing and upcoming projects
- Carry out installations as required and ensure high standards of delivery
- Maintain regular contact with clients, driving satisfaction and repeat business
- Identify and secure new business opportunities (commission paid on wins)
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and industry regulations
- Keep accurate records of works, stock, and client interactions
- Mentor and support junior engineers as the team grows
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven background in security systems management or senior engineering role
- Strong technical knowledge of fire and security systems
- Confident in conducting site surveys and producing detailed proposals
- Excellent communication, time management, and client-facing skills
- Commercially aware with a track record of developing new business (desirable)
- Experience with scheduling, stock management, and installation delivery
- Client-focused and commercially driven
- Able to lead by example and work hands-on when required
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Motivated to grow a team and operation under your leadership
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
