Role: Security Design Engineer
Location: Yorkshire
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Technical Resources are recruiting for a skilled Security Design Engineer to join a team responsible for designing security systems across Yorkshire and the Midlands. This role involves managing the complete design lifecycle, from initial concept and site surveys to system specification, estimating, quoting, and handing over to the delivery team. You will also travel to client sites regularly to ensure solutions meet requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms
- Conduct site surveys and provide expert recommendations based on security needs
- Produce detailed technical specifications, system drawings, and project documentation
- Prepare estimates and quotations tailored to client requirements
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security objectives and deliver bespoke solutions
- Manage projects from design inception through to handover to the delivery team
- Work closely with installation and commissioning teams to ensure seamless execution of designs
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven experience in designing security systems (CCTV, access control, etc.)
- Experience in the utilities sector (highly desirable)
- Strong knowledge of security standards and industry regulations
- Excellent communication, estimating, and project management skills
