Role: Security Design Engineer
Location: South West (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + Company Car
Technical Resources are recruiting for a Security Design Engineer in the South West. You will support ongoing growth within a national fire and security contractor. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of security systems and a background in producing compliant, cost-effective designs for a range of commercial and enterprise clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and progress sales enquiries and tenders alongside Business Development Managers
- Design bespoke security solutions including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and integrated systems
- Produce system designs, technical specifications, proposals and tender documentation
- Assess site-specific risks and ensure all solutions meet client and regulatory requirements
- Manage technical revisions and updates to designs based on evolving customer needs
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Strong technical knowledge of security systems and/or network infrastructure
- Ability to interpret and produce technical specifications and drawings
- Previous experience in security systems design and tendering
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
