Role: Security Design Engineer
Location: Remote (must be between Midlands and South-East
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Technical Resources is recruiting for a Security Design Engineer to join a growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for progressing sales enquiries and tenders, collaborating closely with Business Development Managers to ensure customer requirements are fully understood. You will design various security systems and integrated building systems, prepare proposals, quotations, and tender documents, and ensure designs meet all technical and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Business Development Managers to understand and progress sales enquiries and tenders
- Design a wide range of security systems and integrated building systems
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender documents, ensuring they meet company standards and deadlines
- Assess risk factors influencing security system designs
- Ensure all quotations and design specifications are compatible with technical and regulatory standards
- Review changes in customer specifications and modify designs as necessary
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Good working knowledge of security systems and network infrastructure products and their features/limitations
- Experience in reading and publishing specifications and technical drawings
- Relevant qualifications or experience in security design
- Strong communication and organisational skills
