Are you an experienced Electrical Qualifying Supervisor looking for a role where you can drive standards, compliance, and technical excellence? As an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor, you will provide in-field technical support to the electrical engineering team, ensuring inspection, testing, verification, and certification are carried out and recorded in line with current British Standards and NICEIC requirements. You will be working for a professional and growing organisation committed to maintaining the highest standards across its electrical division.
Responsibilities :
- Support engineers to ensure inspection, testing, verification, and certification are completed correctly in line with NICEIC and BS 7671 standards.
- Implement and maintain systems and processes to improve technical quality, compliance, and professionalism.
- Monitor statutory and non-statutory standards to ensure ongoing compliance across all electrical activities.
- Lead and manage the QS department, including performance management and compliance controls.
- Provide technical support to engineers and clients, handling escalated technical queries.
- Conduct post-audit inspections and certifications on completed works.
- Oversee the accuracy, calibration, and usability of electrical test equipment.
- Train and mentor engineers, maintaining technical training records and supporting CPD.
- Act as the main technical point of contact for NICEIC assessments, attending annual assessments across the UK.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring safe systems of work are followed.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- A minimum Level 3 electrical qualification and 18th Edition.
- Strong knowledge of inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting procedures.
- In-depth understanding of BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations and Electricity at Work Regulations.
- NICEIC compliance, knowledge, and accreditation.
- Proven experience within the electrical industry in a similar role.
- Experience managing and developing engineers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
