Location: Romford
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Installation Engineer to deliver high-quality installations of door entry, access control, and CCTV systems across residential and commercial properties. This is a field-based role that requires solid technical knowledge, an understanding of project workflows, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities :

  • Install, commission, and test door entry, access control, and CCTV systems on new build and retrofit projects

  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation plans

  • Carry out cabling, containment, equipment mounting, and system integration to required standards

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure smooth delivery and timely completion

  • Conduct system handovers, provide basic end-user training and support when required

  • Ensure all work complies with British Standards, manufacturer specifications, and relevant regulations (e.g., NSI, SSAIB)

  • Complete all installation paperwork, including certificates, asset registers, and commissioning documentation

  • Support minor system commissioning, diagnostics, and troubleshooting during and post-installation

  • Follow site-specific health & safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment

  • Participate in occasional out-of-hours works depending on project requirements

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Proven experience installing door entry, access control, and CCTV systems

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and cable schedules

  • Skilled in using hand tools, testers, and cable termination equipment

  • Familiar with structured cabling, power distribution, and containment methods

  • Competence in basic commissioning, fault-finding, and system diagnostics

  • Strong organisational and communication skills with a professional on-site manner

  • Able to work independently or as part of a wider installation/project team
