Role :Project Installation Engineer

£32,000 - £36,000 per annum
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Installation Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for delivering end-to-end system installations on client sites across commercial, residential, or industrial sectors. The successful candidate will take ownership of the installation and commissioning process, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Responsibilities :

Install, test, and commission a variety of systems depending on your trade background, including

Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and project documents

Ensure all work complies with relevant British Standards (e.g. BS 5839, BS 7671, BS 6266)

Follow RAMS and health & safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle

Work collaboratively with the project management team to coordinate labour, materials, and site logistics

Produce accurate test results and commissioning reports

Attend client or contractor meetings and provide site progress updates

Resolve technical issues or installation problems to minimise project delays

Assist in snagging, documentation, and final project handovers
Experience and Certifications Required:
-
Minimum 3 years’ installation experience in your relevant discipline

Experience working on medium to large-scale installation projects

Solid knowledge of relevant systems and industry installation standards

Ability to read wiring diagrams, layout plans, and technical documentation

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team

Experience leading small site teams or managing subcontractors is beneficial
