: Passive Fire Protection Surveyor

Salary:
£37,500 to £39,500 per annum
As a Passive Fire Protection Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring that all fire safety contracts are managed efficiently, compliant with regulations, and delivered to the highest standards. Working closely with the Operations Manager, Administrative Team, and Directors, you will help maintain safety, compliance, and client satisfaction across multiple projects.
Responsibilities :
● Conduct detailed fire door and passive fire inspections to assess compliance with current fire safety regulations.
● Identify and document defects or non-compliant elements within fire doors, frames, and associated hardware.
● Carry out risk assessments to evaluate potential fire safety impacts and prioritise remedial actions.
● Produce detailed inspection reports outlining findings and recommendations.
● Provide expert advice on fire door maintenance, compartmentation, and safety standards.
● Collaborate with architects, engineers, and fire safety officers to ensure installations meet legal requirements.
● Support fire safety awareness training for clients and site personnel.
● Stay up to date with fire safety regulations, legislation, and best practice.
Experience and Certifications Required:
● Proven experience in Fire Door Surveying and Passive Fire Protection.
● Relevant qualifications (CSCS, SMSTS, PASMA preferred; FIRAS accreditation desirable).
● Excellent technical understanding of fire safety compliance and regulations.
● Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
● Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
● Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and digital reporting systems.
● Full UK driving licence (travel and overnight stays required).
