Job Title:
M&E Project Manager
Location: Slough
Rate: £450 p/day
We are seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to oversee a comprehensive package involving ICT, Fire, and Security systems at a Data Centre in Slough. The role will involve managing the P&L responsibility for the project, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. You will be the key link between the end client and the contractor, ensuring smooth project execution and delivery.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Oversee a package involving ICT, Fire, and Security systems at a Data Centre in Slough
- P&L responsibility, ensuring the project is delivered within budget and on schedule
- Act as the key link between the end client and contractor
- Ensure project documentation is completed and CDM regulations are adhered to
- Monitor compliance with all health and safety (H&S) regulations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Handle commercial/contractual negotiations with the main contractor and client
- Manage the commercial delivery of the project, including delay notices, payment applications, and subcontractor management
- Produce and maintain accurate project reports and documentation
Experience required:
- Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager with specific experience managing ELV/electrical/fire projects valued at £2M+
- Experience working with Tier 1 contractors
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations
- Commercial awareness covering JCT and NEC4 contracts
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- CSCS/ECS card (essential)
- SMSTS (beneficial)
- Laptop
- 5-point PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
