Are you a senior leader ready to take full ownership of a specialist engineering services division? As Managing Director, you will hold full P&L responsibility and operate at board level, driving strategic growth, operational excellence and cultural alignment across multiple business streams. You will be working for a leading UK security technologies group with a strong national footprint and ambitious growth plans.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute divisional strategy aligned with wider group objectives
  • Deliver sustainable, double-digit profit growth across all service lines
  • Identify market opportunities, emerging technologies, and industry trends
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing senior leadership team
  • Optimise operational processes and empower field delivery teams
  • Take full P&L ownership, balancing commercial performance and cost control
  • Manage direct labour and subcontractor delivery models
  • Set commercial standards for bids, tender,s and contract delivery
  • Drive expansion through strategic partnerships and new service offerings
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure all reporting requirements and governance standards are met
  • Uphold information security and compliance policies

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years’ senior leadership experience within engineering environments, including 5+ years with P&L responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of technical service-led environments (fire, security or related sectors desirable)
  • Proven track record of delivering growth and improving profitability
  • Strong financial acumen and strategic planning capability
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Experience leading organisational change in high-growth or high-pressure environments
