Role: Fire Site Manager
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Technical Resources are seeking a Fire Site Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the proper installation and maintenance of fire doors and passive fire solutions in various settings, including commercial and residential properties. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be essential in upholding industry standards and ensuring fire safety.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise all installations, repairs, and maintenance of fire doors and passive fire solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed installations and identify any deficiencies or issues with existing fire doors.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely and accurate installations.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Document all work completed, including inspection reports and maintenance records.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions or concerns.
- Order and monitor materials and stock, keeping an up-to-date stock log and completing regular stock takes.
- Organise and manage installers/subcontractors on a daily basis.
- Carry out inductions for new staff and subcontractors.
- Perform any other tasks as requested by the contracts manager.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- A minimum of 5 years’ industry experience.
- Knowledge of fire door and passive fire standards and regulations.
- A clean UK driving license.
- SSSTS certification.
- NVQ Level 3 or above.
- Asbestos Awareness certification.
- FIRAS/Qmark experience.
- A well-presented, approachable, and professional self-starter.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring thorough and accurate work.
- Effective management and prioritisation of workloads while working to strict deadlines.
