£40,000 to £60,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Fire Service Manager based in or around St Albans, looking to take ownership of a busy service division? As a Fire Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of fire protection services, managing engineers, subcontractors, and administrative staff to ensure operational excellence and outstanding client service. You will be working for an established fire engineering business with a strong reputation in the market.
Responsibilities :
- Leading a service team consisting of engineers, administrators, and subcontract labour
- Managing engineer schedules, call-out rotas, and workload planning
- Overseeing compliance, including RAMS, SLAs, worksheets, and audits
- Handling recruitment, performance reviews, and ongoing team development
- Attending client meetings and building long-term client relationships
- Full ownership of P&L performance for the service division
- Driving continuous improvement across service operations
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Previous experience in a management or supervisory role within a service-led environment
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with a hands-on approach
- Technical knowledge of fire alarms or fire sprinklers (beneficial but not essential)
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing ability
- A proactive mindset with a focus on efficiency, teamwork, and service delivery
