Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 per annnum

Are you an experienced Fire & Security Operations Manager based in Essex, looking to step into a senior operational role with real progression potential? Technical Resources is recruiting for a Fire & Security Operations Manager to join an established building services contractor, leading the delivery of fire and security projects across commercial, industrial, and select residential sectors.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage fire and security projects through the full lifecycle, from design and planning to installation, commissioning, handover, and aftercare

  • Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

  • Produce and manage project programmes, RAMS, and technical documentation

  • Ensure compliance with SSAIB, BAFE (where applicable), Health & Safety regulations, and industry standards

  • Conduct site surveys and provide technical support for quotations and client proposals

  • Oversee testing, commissioning, certification, and client training prior to handover

  • Maintain strong client relationships and act as the main escalation point for issues

  • Monitor the quality and performance of subcontractors and internal engineering teams

  • Support tendering and bid activities with programme and technical input

  • Identify opportunities to grow the fire and security division and develop new business

  • Lead recruitment, development, and management of engineering staff as the division expands

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Strong technical background in fire and security systems

  • Proven experience in a senior operational or project management role within the sector

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, up to £500k in value

  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills

  • Hands-on, proactive approach with a strong “can-do” attitude
