Salary: £38,000 per annum

Are you looking for a Fire & Security Engineer role based in Manchester? As a Fire & Security Engineer, you’ll be responsible for reactive call-outs, planned maintenance, and small works across a defined patch, working with a well-established fire and security provider delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service.

You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team, working closely with schedulers and supervisors to ensure jobs are completed efficiently, systems are fully compliant, and customers receive a first-class service.

Responsibilities :

  • Attend reactive calls, planned maintenance, and small works via a central management system
  • Test, diagnose, and fault-find fire and security systems to current standards
  • Carry out remedial works and advise how systems can be brought up to compliance
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers
  • Compile asset information and assist with quotations when required
  • Work closely with the scheduling team to maximise daily productivity
  • Maintain all company-supplied tools, stock, and vehicles
  • Support customer retention through technical knowledge and service delivery
  • Participate in the on-call rota and support cover for holidays or sickness
  • Mentor apprentices or trainees when required
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • A minimum of 3+ years’ experience working on commercial fire & security systems

  • Strong experience with:

    Analogue & IP CCTV, Access Control, Analogue & IP Door Entry, Intruder Alarms, Conventional & Addressable Fire Alarms
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills
