Are you a fire safety professional with experience in risk assessments and a passion for delivering high-quality consultancy? Technical Resources are recruiting for a Fire Safety Consultant to join a respected fire safety consultancy based in the South. You’ll be working across a diverse portfolio of clients, commercial, residential, and complex properties, carrying out assessments and providing clear, actionable advice.

Responsibilities :

● Conduct fire risk assessments in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
● Produce detailed fire safety reports and action plans using internal tools and MS Word
● Offer practical, tailored fire safety advice to clients and stakeholders
● Work directly with FMs, landlords, surveyors, and fire services to develop or review fire safety strategies
● Attend client meetings and act as a trusted fire safety advisor
● Maintain up-to-date CPD and monitor changes in fire safety legislation and best practice
● Carry out assessments on both commercial and complex residential buildings
● Represent the company with professionalism and uphold health & safety standards

Experience and Certifications Required:

● Minimum of 2–3 years' experience conducting fire risk assessments
● Level 2/3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification (IFE, FPA, IFSM or equivalent preferred)
● Membership of IFE or IFSM (preferred)
● Ideally, registered with a third-party accreditation scheme (e.g. IFE Register – or working towards)
● Sound knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and protection systems
● Strong technical report writing skills
● Understanding of active and passive fire protection
● Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
● Proficient with MS Office and digital reporting tools
● Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
