Job Title: Fire / M&E Project Manager
Location: Manchester
Rate: £400 p/day
Are you an experienced Fire / M&E Project Manager looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a Fire / M&E Project Manager to oversee a Fire Detection project in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of the project, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, and acting as the key link between the end client and contractor.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Take full responsibility for the project’s commercial management.
- Serve as the key link between the end client and contractor.
- Ensure all project documentation is completed and CDM regulations are adhered to.
- Enforce strict health and safety (H&S) regulations.
- Monitor compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead commercial/contractual negotiations with the main contractor and client.
- Manage the commercial delivery of the project, including delay notices, applications for payment, contractual negotiations, and subcontractor management.
Experience required:
- Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager, specifically managing ELV/electrical/fire projects with values over £2M.
- Experience working with Tier 1 contractors.
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations.
- Commercial awareness and experience with JCT & NEC4 contracts.
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- Project Management, Construction, or Engineering
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
