Role: Fire Design Estimator
Location: South East
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + Bonus + Company Car or Allowance + 25 days holiday
Technical Resources are recruiting for an experienced Fire Design Estimator to join a growing team in the South East, supporting large-scale fire alarm projects across a variety of sectors. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work from home, the office, and on-site conducting surveys.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed quotations for fire alarm projects up to £2m in value
- Conduct site surveys to assess system requirements and specifications
- Create, update, and amend design proposals in line with client needs
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure commercially viable solutions
- Mentor junior Design Engineers and support their development
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Minimum 5 years' experience designing and estimating fire alarm systems
- Background in fire alarm installation or servicing (preferred)
- Excellent understanding of British Standards and system design best practices
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and alongside sales/engineering teams
