Role: Fire Design Engineer
Location: Remote (occasional site visits and meetings required)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
Technical Resources are seeking a skilled Fire Design Engineer for a newly created position due to continued growth and increased project demand. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company in the fire safety sector.
Responsibilities:
- Design fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with British Standards and client specifications.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and installation teams to ensure accurate project delivery.
- Conduct site surveys and attend project meetings as required.
- Provide technical support and input throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and codes of practice.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven experience as a Fire Design Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of fire detection and alarm system design (BS 5839 or equivalent).
- Proficient in design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with occasional travel for site visits/meetings.
- Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., FIA, LPCB, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
