Job Title: Fire Commissioning Engineer
Location: Midlands
Rate: £310 p/day
Are you a Fire Commissioning Engineer based in the Midlands? We’re recruiting for an experienced Fire Commissioning Engineer to carry out fire alarm commissioning across a range of commercial sites. You’ll be following behind installation teams and attending one site per day to complete the commissioning process — with all systems expected to be fault-free upon arrival.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Commissioning fire alarm systems (predominantly Gent)
- Systems breakdown:
- Gent: 70%
- Advanced: 20%
- Notifier: 10%
- One job per day, following install teams
- Teams call with the Project Manager before starting
- Testing and signing off systems in line with client expectations
Experience required:
- Gent certification (essential)
- Commissioning experience on Gent, Advanced, and Notifier panels
- Proven ability to work independently across commercial sites
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- ECS Card (essential)
- DBS issued within the last five years (essential)
- Hand tools
- Laptop with Gent software installed (essential)
