Job Title: Fire and Security Service Engineer
Location: Swindon
Rate: £220 p/day
Are you a Fire and Security Service Engineer with strong servicing and maintenance experience? As a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you will be expected to carry out service and maintenance works across fire, CCTV, access control, and intruder systems for a range of end clients in the Swindon and Reading areas. You will be working for a respected contractor delivering life safety and security system support across councils, NHS, Co-Ops, and Vodafone sites.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Complete service and maintenance visits across multiple sites
- Work on fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional – essential)
- Maintain and service intruder systems (Galaxy, Texecom, Scantronic – beneficial)
- Maintain and service access control systems (Paxton, PAC Net2 – beneficial)
- Maintain and service CCTV (IP and analogue – beneficial)
- Deliver works safely and in line with compliance requirements
Experience required:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fire and security service and maintenance
- Strong background in fire alarm servicing (essential)
- Beneficial experience across intruder, access, and CCTV systems
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- BS7858 vetting started (essential)
- Hand tools and drill
- Fire test equipment
- Steps and ladders
- Laptop
- PPE
- Android phone or tablet (essential – to download CASH app)
