Job Title: Fire and Security Service Engineer
Location: Reading
Rate: £220 p/day
We are on the hunt for a skilled Fire and Security Service Engineer to join a team in Reading. This role involves performing service and maintenance tasks for a wide range of fire and security systems, ensuring they meet high standards of performance and safety. You will be working on various systems including CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and fire alarms for a variety of customers.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Carry out service and maintenance on fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional)
- Perform service and maintenance on intruder systems (Galaxy, Texecom)
- Work on access control systems (Paxton)
- Service and maintain CCTV systems (IP/Analogue)
- Perform fault-finding and repairs on systems as required
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction
- Use the CASH app for managing service calls and documentation
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations
Experience required:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the service and maintenance of fire and security systems
- Proficiency with fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional)
- Experience with CCTV systems (IP/Analogue)
- Experience with intruder alarm systems (Galaxy, Texecom)
- Experience with Paxton access control systems
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- No specific qualifications required, but must have BS7858 vetting started
- ECS card or similar industry certification is advantageous
- Valid driving license
- Hand tools, power tools, and fire test equipment
- Steps, ladders, and full PPE
- Laptop and necessary software for documentation
- Android phone/tablet for using the CASH app
