Job Title: Fire and Security Service Engineer
Location: North East England
Rate: £220 p/day
We are looking for a skilled Fire and Security Service Engineer to carry out service, maintenance, and remedial works on both fire and security systems across the North East region. The role involves working with a mix of open protocol fire systems (Gent, Notifier, conventional systems) and security systems, including Hikvision CCTV, Galaxy/Texacom intruder alarms, and Paxton access control.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Conduct maintenance, fault-finding, and remedial works.
- Handle systems such as fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control.
- Work includes changing smoke heads, batteries, and repairing systems post-servicing.
- Expected to complete 3-4 jobs per day or approximately 100 devices per job.
Experience required:
- Strong experience with fire systems (Gent, Notifier) and familiarity with security systems is beneficial.
- Ability to work on commercial properties and manage job dockets.
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- ECS/CSCS Card (bonus).
- DBS Certificates (bonus).
- Must have hand tools, power tools, full PPE, steps, ladders, and fire testing equipment (smoke poles, test kits, etc.).
- Laptop beneficial.
- Own car or van required.
