Job Title: Fire and Security Service Engineer
Location: Brighton
Rate: £220 p/day
We are seeking an experienced Fire and Security Service Engineer to join a team in Brighton. You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide range of fire, access, intruder, and CCTV systems for a diverse customer base including councils, Vodafone, NHS, and Co-Ops.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Carry out service and maintenance work on fire, access, intruder, and CCTV systems
- Work on addressable and conventional fire alarm systems (essential)
- Perform service and maintenance on IP/analogue CCTV systems (beneficial)
- Work on intruder systems such as Galaxy, Texacom, and Scantronic (beneficial)
- Perform maintenance and service on access control systems such as Paxton and Pac Net2 (beneficial)
- Provide professional service to customers, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Work on sites including councils, Vodafone, NHS, Co-Ops, with the majority based around Brighton and surrounding areas
Experience required:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in service and maintenance of fire and security systems
- Hands-on experience with fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional)
- Knowledge and experience of CCTV systems (IP/Analogue)
- Experience with access control systems (Paxton, Pac Net2) and intruder alarm systems (Galaxy, Texacom, Scantronic) is beneficial
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- No specific qualifications required, but must have BS7858 vetting started
- ECS or similar industry certification is advantageous
- Valid driving license
- Hand tools, power tools, and fire test equipment
- Steps, ladders, and full PPE
- Laptop and necessary software for documentation and reporting
- Android phone/tablet for using CASH app to manage and track jobs
