Role: Fire and Security Service Engineer
Location: South West England
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per annum + Overtime + Call out + Travel Time
Technical Resources are recruiting for a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you will take charge of service and maintenance requests from our Service Desk and handle small project work as needed. This role includes being part of our out-of-hours on-call rota to ensure exceptional 24/7 service for our customers. Responsibilities:
- Manage your designated service area, taking ownership of service calls and ensuring high service delivery standards.
- Keep your Line Manager or Supervisor informed about outstanding issues, working proactively to minimise revisit calls.
- Represent the company professionally, showcasing commitment to customer care and best practices.
- Collaborate with the Service Team to complete additional reasonable duties efficiently and on time.
- Ensure smooth operation in your service area by maintaining professionalism while troubleshooting and resolving client issues.
- Adhere to SLAs and always aim for first-call solutions.
- Maintain a positive image through professional appearance and conduct.
- Keep your service vehicle well-maintained and clean.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Understanding of BS5839:1, BS5266:1, and BS7671.
- Experience with BAFE SP203-1 and all NSI standards.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fire, installation, and service role.
- Full UK driving license (Essential).
- Strong timekeeping and customer-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dynamic, forward-thinking, and ambitious.
- Right to work in the UK.
