Role: Fire and Security Estimator
Location: Manchester - Hybrid
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum + Bonus
Technical Resources are recruiting for a motivated Fire and Security Estimator to join a team based in Manchester. You'll play a key role in supporting major bid opportunities and maintenance contract proposals, helping to ensure commercial success through precise cost modelling and collaboration with Sales and Operations teams.
Responsibilities:
- Build accurate pricing models for Fire & Security maintenance contracts
- Produce detailed estimates and financial breakdowns
- Ensure costings are competitive and compliant with industry standards
- Liaise with Sales, Bids, and Operations teams for project inputs
- Work with Procurement to obtain supplier and subcontractor rates
- Cross-check maintenance schedules for operational feasibility
- Customise pricing documentation for client needs
- Respond to client queries professionally and clearly
- Support bid presentations and negotiations as needed
- Ensure compliance with Fire & Security regulations and internal policies
- Maintain organised records of all estimates and supporting documents
- Prepare reports outlining cost breakdowns, margins, and risks
- Present models and recommendations at internal approval meetings
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Background in estimating or financial modelling within Fire & Security, FM, or similar technical services
- In-depth understanding of Fire & Security maintenance and industry standards
- Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas and financial modelling
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational abilities
