Location: Oxford

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + Vehicle

Technical Resources are recruiting for a Fire and Security Engineering Manager in Oxford. This role is ideal for a senior or lead engineer ready to take the next step into management, this role combines hands-on technical support, project oversight, and team leadership, with responsibilities both on-site and in the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate works for the engineering team, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources
  • Manage projects from start to finish, overseeing quality and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure quality standards are adhered to
  • Attend client meetings to discuss project requirements and provide technical expertise
  • Deliver engineering training and ongoing technical support to team members
  • Oversee and manage multiple projects, ensuring completion to client satisfaction
  • Ensure stock and materials are available for all scheduled works and projects
  • Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations across all operations
  • Provide leadership and support both on-site and in the office
  • Directly manage, mentor, and motivate a team of 15 engineers

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Strong background in fire and security engineering, with hands-on technical expertise
  • Previous experience managing or leading engineering teams, or readiness to transition from a senior/lead engineer role
  • Excellent organisational and scheduling skills
  • Strong project management abilities, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope
  • Effective communicator with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and colleagues
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety
  • Ability to deliver technical training and support to engineering staff
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
