: Fire and Security Commissioning Engineer

Salary:
£36,000 to £44,000 per annum
We are seeking an experienced Fire and Security Commissioning Engineer, responsible for commissioning and handing over integrated Fire and Security systems across commercial, industrial, and public sector sites. The role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality work in line with relevant industry standards.
Responsibilities :

Commission, test, and hand over Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems.

Carry out programming, configuration, and cause-and-effect testing.

Troubleshoot and rectify technical issues during the commissioning phase.

Complete commissioning and handover documentation to the required standard.

Liaise with project managers, installation engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.

Ensure compliance with BS5839, BS EN50131, and other relevant standards.

Provide client demonstrations and basic training following handover.
Experience and Certifications Required:

Proven experience commissioning both Fire and Electronic Security systems.

Familiarity with major systems.

Strong understanding of fire and security system integration.

Excellent fault-finding, testing, and documentation skills.

Good communication and customer-facing abilities.
