Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Location: Southampton and Reading
Rate: £220 p/day
Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer looking for your next opportunity in the Southampton/Reading area? We are looking for a Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a team to carry out routine service and maintenance as well as fault-finding on Fire Alarms, Fire Extinguishers, and Emergency Lighting. You’ll be working across care homes and commercial premises, ensuring safety systems are in top condition.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Service and maintain Fire alarms, Emergency lighting, and Fire extinguishers at various client locations.
- Perform 3 hours of emergency light testing to ensure compliance and functionality.
- Work across a mix of industry standard fire alarm panels, maintaining and troubleshooting systems on-site.
Experience required:
- Experience in Fire alarms, Fire extinguishers, and Emergency lighting maintenance and fault-finding.
- Strong understanding of industry-standard systems and panels.
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- DBS check (beneficial)
- Experience with Fire alarm panels, Emergency lighting, and Fire extinguishers.
- Hand tools for maintenance and installation
- Power tools for fault-finding and servicing
- Fire test equipment for system diagnostics
- Steps for site access
