Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Location: Southampton
Rate: £220 p/day
We are seeking a Fire Alarm Service Engineer for a reactive maintenance and remedials contract in Southampton. You will be working on open protocol systems including Gent and Notifier, as well as conventional panels in commercial environments.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Fault finding and remedials on Fire Alarm Systems
- Panels include Gent, Notifier and various conventional systems
- Commercial sites (retail, offices, healthcare etc.)
- Dockets must be completed and returned after each job
- Any equipment supplied by client must be returned at contract end
Experience required:
- Strong experience in fire alarm fault-finding and remedial work
- Familiar with open protocol systems (Gent, Notifier)
- Able to work independently and confidently in commercial settings
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- ECS Card – essential
- DBS certificate – beneficial
- Hand and power tools, fire testing equipment (smoke poles, battery testers etc.)
- Steps and ladders
- Full PPE
- Laptop – beneficial
- Own vehicle (car or van acceptable)
