Are you a Fire Alarm Service Engineer covering London and the South? As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will carry out planned servicing, reactive fault-finding, and maintenance across a diverse range of sites, including schools, universities, warehouses, and commercial properties. You will be working for an established fire and life safety specialist business operating as part of a wider group, combining stability with a strong service-led culture.
Responsibilities :
● Carry out planned servicing and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems
● Attend reactive call-outs, fault-find efficiently, and complete repairs or make-safe actions
● Produce clear, compliant engineer reports including test results, findings, and recommendations
● Work in line with relevant British Standards, site requirements, and RAMS
● Communicate professionally with customers, explaining faults and required actions
● Manage tools, test equipment, and van stock to ensure right-first-time completion
● Participate in the call-out rota as required
Experience and Certifications Required:
● A minimum of 5 years’ experience in fire alarm servicing and fault-finding
● Experience working on leading fire alarm panels such as GENT, Notifier, Advanced or similar
● Strong knowledge of testing, compliance, and documentation standards
● Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
● Full UK driving licence
