Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Location: East Midlands
Rate: £220 p/day
Are you a Fire Alarm Service Engineer looking for a new contract role? We are looking for a dedicated Fire Alarm Service Engineer to carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and service across fire alarms, emergency lights, and door entry systems. You will be working across multiple social housing sites in the East Midlands region. The role may also involve carrying out PPMs on fire extinguishers, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and ensuring the safety and security of the sites.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Perform PPM and service on fire alarm systems, emergency lights, and door entry systems across multiple sites daily.
- Carry out PPM on fire extinguishers as required.
- Complete detailed reports and ensure all work complies with regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage time efficiently to cover 2-3 sites per day.
Experience required:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fire alarm servicing and maintenance.
- Experience working with emergency lighting and door entry systems is beneficial.
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- Basic DBS check is beneficial.
- ECS Fire Installer card is advantageous.
- IPAF, 17th Edition, NVQ Level 3, or City & Guilds are desirable but not essential.
- Hand tools and power tools for installation and servicing.
- Solo Kit for fire alarm testing.
