Location: London

Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per annum + Overtime + Call out + Travel Time

Technical Resources are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Service and Installation Engineer to join a dynamic team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for the service, repair, and installation of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with BS5839 and BS5266 standards. Your role will involve working closely with clients to provide tailored solutions that meet their unique needs while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and respect.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct service, repair, and installation work in compliance with BS5839 and BS5266, taking into account client-specific requirements and preferences.
  • Work with detailed commercial electrical design drawings and circuit diagrams.
  • Test and inspect both commercial and residential fire alarm installations to ensure compliance with current regulations, while providing respectful support to clients.
  • Efficiently work with various commercial and residential electrical installations, such as fire alarms, emergency lighting, and controls, tailoring solutions to each client's needs.
  • Complete test certificates and reports as per specifications, ensuring appropriate signatures and preparing for client submission.
  • Conduct diagnostic fault-finding on a wide range of fire alarm and related equipment, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Assist with planning works and scheduling appointments, accommodating client availability and accessibility.
  • Identify new business opportunities, while maintaining inclusive and accessible services for all clients.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Proven experience in fire alarm service and installation work.
  • Familiarity with BS5839, BS5266, and other relevant regulations.
  • Strong diagnostic skills for fault finding across fire alarms and related equipment.
  • Experience in both commercial and residential installations (preferred).
  • Ability to adapt solutions to meet client-specific needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive client relationships.
