Role : Fire Alarm Installation Engineer
Location: East Anglia
Salary: £38,000 to £40,000 per annum

Are you a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer based in the East of England, looking for your next permanent role? As a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of fire alarm and life safety systems across a variety of sites, primarily throughout East Anglia. You’ll be working for a well-established fire and security organisation delivering compliant, high-quality installations for a wide-ranging client base.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a stable, long-term position with consistent work and the chance to develop their technical skill set.

Responsibilities :

  • Installation of fire alarm systems, including adds, moves, and changes
  • Working in line with BS5839-1 standards at all times
  • Installation and support of associated life safety systems where required
  • Working with fire alarm signalling equipment such as Emizon, DualCom, and Permaconn
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, and CAD plans
  • Completing all relevant site documentation and returning to the installation admin team
  • Delivering excellent customer service while working on live customer sites
  • Planning and managing workloads effectively to meet deadlines
  • Working independently or as part of a team across the East Anglia region
  • Adhering to all health & safety procedures and toolbox talks

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the fire alarm and life safety industry
  • Strong working knowledge of British Standards, particularly BS5839-1
  • Experience with conventional and addressable fire alarm systems
  • Product knowledge of fire alarm equipment, such as Advanced, Apollo, Gent, and Eurotech
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
